The Los Angeles Lakers sold for $10 billion to Guggenheim Partners CEO Mark Walter

The Buss family has agreed to sell a controlling interest in the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter, the current owner of the L.A. Dodgers. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Guggenheim Partners and will assume majority ownership of the iconic franchise upon the deal’s finalization. Current owner Jeanie Buss will continue to represent the team in league matters. If it goes through, this will be the largest sale of a sports team in history. The previous was last year’s $6.1 billion sale of the Lakers’ rival, the Boston Celtics.
Brown & Brown acquires Accession Risk Management

Accession CEO John Mina will join the retail senior leadership team.
Sanofi to expand immunology offerings with Blueprint Medicines

Under the terms of the acquisition, Sanofi will pay an equity value of approximately $9.1 billion.
Lone Star to sell Portugal’s Novo Banco to French BPCE
